Firmware Updater Tool

Specialist 1 and above will no longer require Lead Specialists to update the firmware, if it is required. They can self-serve and complete this on their own.

Below are instructions on how to use the firmware updater tool. Use of the tool will allow you the ability to complete the firmware update yourself saving you time by eliminating the need to contact a Lead Specialist for assistance.  Please let us know if you have questions or concerns.

Current firmware can be found here: http://conex/sites/callcenters/tcc/leads/Wiki/Latest%20Firmware%20(Modems%20and%20TiVo).aspx

Firmware can be updated at http://hsdtoolbox/tools/firmware/updater.php pick the Phoenix colocation first, because the other colocations might not have the firmware you need. Please do not manipulate the URL for this tool; the link provided is the only link and tool intended for use.

If firmware upgrade fails, you can attempt an alternate colocation.

How to use the Firmware Updater Tool

1.      Enter the 10.X.X.X IP address for the modem (can be found in Opus) into the CM IP field. Once the IP address is entered, below the CM IP field you’ll see Version. This field will display the modems current firmware version.
